Copyediting

If you’re planning to self-publish, having your book professionally copyedited is absolutely essential.

In a copyedit, I’ll help you refine your manuscript on a line-by-line level. As well as amending any grammar, punctuation and spelling issues, I’ll focus on enhancing your writing’s clarity and flow.

This stage is all about ensuring your story reads as smoothly as possible. I’ll cover everything from  elimination of repetition to effectiveness of word choice and sentence structure, and I’ll create and follow a custom style guide to ensure consistency throughout your book.

(NOTE: Editorial definitions vary a little across the pond, so if you’re in the US, you might know this service as ‘line editing’ rather than ‘copyediting’.)

Proofreading

(All Genres; specialisation in fantasy)

This is the final stage of the editorial process before publication. Every indie author needs a proofreader as well as a copyeditor!

In a proofread, I’ll be the final set of eyes on your book – poring over it word by word to eliminate any final errors, typos or formatting issues.

With an eagle eye for detail, I pride myself on presenting you with a clean, polished manuscript that’s ready for publication.
